Makita

Makita are the foremost manufacturer of power tools in the world. With expertise spanning close to a century, Makita are able to provide equipment that is beyond compare in quality, design and longevity.

At the heart of the manufacturing process is the belief that for a good tool you need a good motor and Makita makes every effort to make sure their motors are of the best quality. This is achieved by sourcing the absolute best raw materials and components in order to build the most powerful and efficient motors.

Premium grade steel is used to produce armature shafts and gears, and only steel of the highest grade is used. Similarly high grade magnetic copper wire goes into each and every one of their tools to ensure superior current flow whilst withstanding extreme temperatures.

The key to Makita’s vision is the constant strive for innovation in technology and products. From safety solutions like AVT and dust extraction, through to our Lithium-Ion battery and chargers technology, Makita is at the forefront for new ideas.

Makita’s 18V ‘LXT’ range currently has over 200-products that are meeting demands across a wide range of applications. Makita will continue to invest heavily in the 18V LXT system, with more new products planned to ensure continued support for customers who have already invested into the 18v ‘LXT’ platform.

18V LXT utilises a single battery across hundreds of products, with the ability of added power by using two 18-volt batteries in series on the current range of Twin 18V (36v) LXT products.

Innovation is at the heart of what Makita does. This is why they introduced their XGT range in June 2020. Offering a combination of ground breaking tool design and higher output batteries, the XGT range was made with the goal to provide a genuine solution for the highest demands in construction, industry, horticulture and many other areas.

Why has ‘XGT’ been developed?

When visiting countries around the world, Makita R&D engineers have been challenged to design better cordless tools that can deliver more power, improved run-time, as well as being compact in size with an optimum weight for contractors to use throughout the working day.
