Vitax Limited is a British, fourth-generation, family-owned business with roots which can be traced back as far as 1880.

Trusted by generations of gardeners, the Leicestershire-based company's wide range of products have been created to give traditional and new gardeners all they need to establish and nourish a wonderful garden, and in turn all the rewards this brings.

Based in Coalville, Vitax have a passion for developing cutting-edge products for professional gardeners, horticulturists and groundsmen to help achieve outstanding results. It is here they develop their first-class products which go into their gardening range.

The company's wide range of over 140 garden and plant-related products include well-known brands such as: Slug Gone, 6X, Vitax Q4, Stay Off, Nippon and SBK Weedkiller.

Their expansion never stops, and back some 35 years, as an example, a joint venture with Irish company Emerald Peat in 1990, gave Vitax an entry into the valuable peat and compost sector of the horticultural market. Here again the company concentrated on a quality product, marketing under the trusted Q4 label.

Vitax's comprehensive range offers retailers a 'one-stop' shop with fertilisers, chemicals and compost available from a single supplier.
