The CHANNELLOCK® company was started over 125 years ago by George B. DeArment, a blacksmith from Evansburg, Pa., who began hand-forging farrier's tools in a small factory. The company was founded on four guiding principles that still serve well over the ensuing years:

Today, CHANNELLOCK®, Inc. is run by the fifth generation of the DeArment family. The company manufactures more than 120 different sizes and types of pliers and hand tools. CHANNELLOCK® has stood the test of time by making tools that do the same. Even after more than 125 years, it all comes back to Meadville, PA. From steel to store, every Channellock starts with high-carbon North American 1090 steel before it becomes a blue-handled masterpiece in a toolbox.
